The Background

I have been divorced for a little over a year now.  I was with my x-husband for a little over 10 years.  Boy was I up for a culture shock after being out of the dating game for so long.  I have been doing a little bit of dating since my divorce, and I have discovered this "Modern Man".  Let me define the "Modern Man."  He goes by these rules:

• He prefers to be "chased".
• He will NOT spend money on dates.  If he does, you will definitely hear about it later.
• He MAY open a door or two when you are out.
• He will never bring you flowers on a date.
• ....Well, I'm sure you can add to this list. And I do encourage you to do so.

I'm  sorry but I am just an old fashioned type of gal that prefers an old fashioned gentleman.  He goes by these rules:

• He loves the chase.
• He will be offended if a women tries to pay for ANYTHING.
• He ALWAYS opens the doors.
• He brings flowers or candy or something thoughtful to start the date.
• He epitomizes chivalry.

Maybe I have been out of the game too long, but I am willing to wait on my old fashioned gentleman because I don't want that Modern Man.
